Supporting Stoke-on-Trent Business

As active members of The Staffordshire Chambre of Commerce, we are keen to support our local economy. Which is why we recommend related businesses who share our values, such as Central Glass & Windows, Training and Business Solutions Ltd, and Potteries Artificial Grass & Landscaping.

We also work closely with local charities such as Emmaus North Staffs and the Dougie Mac Hospice.

Supporting Emmaus North Staffs

Local charity Emmaus North Staffs is part of the global-wide Emmaus movement supporting the most vulnerable in each area they operate.

They operate the UK’s largest charity shop, on New Hall Street, Hanley, ST1 5HQ (the former Go Outdoors), and collect & deliver thousands of household items of furniture and appliances every month. They also work with many local partners to support around 700 local households every year to help tackle ‘furniture poverty’.

One significant and heart-breaking part of furniture poverty is the many thousands of local children in our communities who do not have their own bed to sleep in at night. The impact of not sleeping on a child can be life-changing: not being able to concentrate at school, not mentally &/or physically developing at the most crucial stage of life. All this can reduce the potential each child achieves in later life. Through their own work and their partnership with children’s bed charity Zarach, they are doing as much as they can to tackle child bed poverty.

For just £199, they can deliver a brand new bed bundle to a local child in North Staffs which is a quality bed frame, mattress, and all the required bedding to help transform a child’s life.

We support Emmaus North Staffs in 3 ways:

  • Donate items that can be passed on or sold in their shop
  • Provide them discounted rates to dispose of their waste
  • Send them a donation out of our profit for any house clearances they refer to us
