Asbestos Disposal

Nationwide Asbestos Disposal

Asbestos was once commonly used in construction due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It is also highly rigid and a fantastic insulator. Sadly, after it had been widely used in commercial and domestic buildings, it was discovered to cause severe respiratory illnesses, including mesothelioma and asbestosis, and was classified as a hazardous material in the 1980s.

If you are looking to remove or dispose of any asbestos from your premises, you must work with licensed professionals to ensure the safe removal and compliant disposal of this hazardous material.

Sixtowns Waste is proud to offer a comprehensive asbestos removal and disposal service across the UK. Whether you have an asbestos roof, some asbestos insulation, or any other type of asbestos, our team of highly trained service providers can ensure that your asbestos is handled and disposed of in accordance with all the relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Safe & Compliant Asbestos Removal

  • Our asbestos removal team consists of licensed and trained professionals who have the skills and experience to handle your asbestos safely.

They are up to date with industry best practices and follow strict safety protocols throughout the removal process.

  • Before beginning any asbestos removal project, we conduct a comprehensive site audit to identify the quantity, type, and location of asbestos-containing materials. This evaluation helps us determine the potential risks involved and develop an effective removal plan.

  • Based on the site assessment, we create a tailored work plan that outlines each specific step and precautions required for the safe removal of your asbestos.

This plan considers factors such as the type of asbestos present, the area to be treated, and any other potential hazards.

  • To prevent the spread of asbestos fibres, we implement strict containment measures.

This includes setting up sealed work areas using specialized barriers and negative pressure systems to ensure that asbestos particles are contained within the work area.

  • Our team members are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment, including respirators, disposable coveralls, gloves, and safety glasses.

This ensures their safety and minimizes the risk of asbestos exposure during the removal process.

  • We use industry-approved methods for asbestos removal, such as wetting techniques, to minimise the release of fibers into the air.

Wetting asbestos-containing materials helps to suppress dust and keep the fibers contained for safer handling.

  • Asbestos is classified as hazardous waste, and its disposal is strictly regulated.

We follow all relevant regulations and guidelines for the safe transportation and disposal of your asbestos waste.

We ensure that it is appropriately packaged, labelled, and transported to authorized facilities for secure disposal.

  • Once your asbestos has been safely disposed of, we provide comprehensive documentation and certification to verify that the removal and disposal was carried out in accordance with safety regulations.

This documentation serves as proof of compliance and can be crucial for legal and regulatory purposes.
